Muffin Tin Monday at Muffintinmom.com

This week's muffin tin is focusing on 2 themes. Hubby and I have been getting more and more frustrated over the condition of the playroom.

(The following is a very disturbing image, view at your own risk.)

It is reminiscent of the playroom 2 years ago, several months after Hannah was born and before I got a chance to organize it in September.  I have started cleaning as I want to be ready to start school next month. The problem is, Hannah (and the other 2, don't let them fool you) tend to make a mess out of what we have tried to accomplish.
Today we talked about messes/dirt and having to clean/make neat. Examples I used were dishes, hair, laundry and this room. These are the first two boxes I organized .

Then I introduced their messy/unorganized muffin tins.

And told them they needed to sort them in order to eat them.

They discovered they had foods for all the food groups as usual:

Veggies: Yellow peppers and carrots
Grain: Baby Goldfish
Dairy/Protein: Cheese Curd
Fruit: Grapes and Blueberries

Then I told them they still couldn't eat. They needed to use the food and make a monster face on top of their peanut butter and apple butter sandwiches.

Amelia's monster with grape hair falling into its many blueberry eyes.

Hannah's Monster that she kept adding more to even though she said she was done.

Tabitha's one eyed, two-nosed fishy haired monster

And...mommy's monster.

We made monsters because they read the book, The Monster at the End of This Book at Summer Reading Program on Thursday.
