Info Post
This week the older girls are going to VBS. As Hannah will not be able to attend we figured she needed some special time with mommy or daddy. Today I decided she might enjoy having some one on one time in the kitchen. I decided we didn't need anything complicated. We had a box of Fun Da Middles from Betty Crocker that we wanted to try out.

Note to self, do not leave a 2 year old in the kitchen alone with eggs while going to get the camera.
Surprisingly she did a pretty good job.  Though her hands were all icky and there was egg white all over the counter.
Anyway, we just used the box mix and combined it with the ingredients listed on the back.
2 eggs
1/3 cup oil
3/4 cup water

This makes 12 cupcakes.

Before I could stop her, Hannah cracked the other egg. I did get most of it to stay in the bowl.

Then we added the cake mix,

the water,

and the oil.

She loves using the electric beaters.

Yes, I gave her some cake batter.

Then we put approximately 2 tbs of batter in each cupcake liner.

The next step is to squeeze the filling pack.

Mommy then added the filling on top of the batter, making sure not to let it touch the sides.

Then I added the remaining batter and baked them for 25 minutes on 350.

Tabitha and Amelia both wanted to take a picture of mommy with Hannah.

They were very good. Gotta love that oozy middle.

Disclaimer: I didn't receive any compensation for this post. I just happened to have a box Fun Da Middles and wanted to try them out.

Do you have your children help you in the kitchen?  What lessons do they learn? Do you have any kid friendly recipes to share?
I'd love to see your posts, whether you have done something this week or some time in the past. Just link up below. This is a weekly linky.
